are you an action figure collector or statue collector, and what is the difference?
TOY COLLECTOR
action figures are a kind of collectible poseable toys for adults which they usually designed for display and collections, and they represent popular characters of superheroes from movies, comics, cartoons, comics and ..- and packaging is also important in production of action figures ,and those who got a damage package or comes out of package does not have the same value, some collectors buy two of each action figure to open one and pose them on their display and one to keep with box for their collection, the materials are different types of plastic and they usually manufactured in the massive amount to sell online and stores, some exclusive action figures with higher quality or more details or special artistic features may produced in less amount and sell in a specific event like a convention or a special store. but because they are made out of a mold which is based on a sculpted prototype, they can always make more of them. so they have cheaper material and less expensive and less detailed in compare with statues. and it depends on the action figure but for many of them you need to get a separate stand to keep them in the action pose which you want . they might come with different pieces like different faces or different hands but statues wont come with different pieces.

while stature are usually sculpted with more details and artistic features and higher quality materials.
when they are based of popular characters or superheroes from movies, comics, cartoons, comics,they will be collected and displayed for the same adult audience who collect toys and action figure characters. they usually have more emotional features like exaggerated anger or smile or a special kind of heroic look or sculpted in a more action pose like running or fighting . they are usually a 3D version of a movie or an artistic drawing of those popular characters, they might have a part of building or scene or even be more than a character which remind you of a special scene in original source , for example joker and harley quinn in a romantic scene. and they are fixed and you can’t change the pose, they don’t need an extra stand and the materials and designed are well made to keep their balance. they are more unique and more like a piece of art. they are more rare and because of details and materials and the long production process, they are made in less amount and they keep their value as an art piece more than an action figure.
but still there are some details plastic figures more japanese brands which they come with their own stand and they are not poseable which they might call them statue too but they are more action figures.
